Client dashboards

A live report your client can open.

Create a link for an organization or one of its projects, choose the reporting dates and what to share, and send it yourself. Your client sees current tasks, time, money, and invoices without a Kernel account.

See it in the explorer

Highlights

  • You choose the scope

Each link covers an organization's own work or one of its projects, with its own reporting dates and separate switches for tasks, time, money, and invoices.

  • Totals or the detail

Totals only shares time and money totals. Summary and entries adds task and project names, work dates, hours, and rates, but never your notes.

  • Yours to revoke

Revoke a link the moment the work ends. Restore brings it back at the same address, and Delete removes it once it's revoked.

Report detail

Share totals, or the work behind them.

With Summary and entries, clients get charts, breakdowns, and entries they can filter by project, task, and billability, and narrow the dates within your period.

  • Totals only shows the period's recorded time and money totals
  • Entry notes, task descriptions, comments, and attachments stay private
  • Clients can narrow the dates you set, never widen them

Invoices

Clients download the invoices that fit.

The Invoices tab lists issued invoices whose whole work scope and period fit the link, with their payment status and frozen PDF. Sharing invoices shares the complete documents.

  • Search by number, filter by payment status or currency
  • A PDF that is still being generated shows as Preparing
  • An invoice that also covers work outside the link stays hidden

Good to know

  • Clients need no Kernel account; anyone holding the link can open it.
  • Kernel doesn't send the link; you copy it and share it yourself.
  • Reporting dates don't expire a link; it works until you revoke it.
  • Task progress is current, independent of the reporting dates.
  • Clients can sort, filter, and download PDFs, but can't edit work, comment, or pay.
  • The page refreshes every minute while it's visible and is marked not to be indexed.
