Planner
Your work, placed around your meetings.
Kernel places ready tasks in the open time between your meetings, highest priority first, inside the hours you set. Drag a block and it locks. Miss one, and it moves to a new slot.
Highlights
Built around your meetings
Busy events from your Google calendars block their time, with a 15-minute buffer on each side by default. Work lands only inside your Scheduling hours.
A plan that stays current
Changing a task, a meeting, or your Hours rebuilds the plan on its own. Locked blocks stay where you put them; only flexible ones move.
Hands on when you want
Drag a block to move or resize it, and it locks. Open it to start, snooze, lock, or remove it, or drag across empty time to place work yourself.
Today's priorities
Put today's priorities first.
Mark a task as one of today's priorities and Kernel gives it today's earliest free time, ahead of everything else. Priorities lapse at midnight on their own.
- Ranked priorities are placed one after another
- Then priority, end date, and creation order
- Snoozed work waits at the end of Up next
Missed work
Missed blocks find a new slot.
A flexible block that passes without a manual start is marked missed. No time is recorded, the block stays in history, and Kernel links to each replacement it places.
- Locked blocks start and stop on their own, recording time
- Snooze pushes a task's flexible blocks back by a chosen delay
- Work that can't fit says why, such as no availability
Kernel did not detect a manual start during this block. No time was recorded and the original block remains here as history.

Good to know
- New workspaces plan Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, in blocks of 30 minutes to two hours.
- Only Ready and Active tasks with a Duration and an organization or project are placed.
- Every block records why it was placed: priority, end date, Hours set, and fit.
- Work that can't be placed gets a reason, such as a deadline conflict or no availability.
- Flexible blocks never become time by themselves; locked blocks record their time on schedule.
- Week and day views, with five or seven days, work on desktop and phone.
