Slack
Mentions and DMs don't slip through.
Connect Slack and choose what Kernel reads: direct messages, mentions of you, replies in threads it kept, and the channels you pick. Requests to you and promises you make become suggestions to review.
Highlights
Only what you include
Direct and group messages, mentions of you, replies in threads Kernel kept, and the channels you pick. Filtering happens before anything is kept.
Your promises count
Reply “I'll get back to you” and Kernel drafts the follow-up, even when the original question produced nothing on its own.
Threads keep cards current
Later replies refine a pending suggestion without overwriting your edits, and a reply that withdraws the request can close it.
Included messages
Choose exactly what Kernel reads.
Each Slack connection lists what it includes: direct and group messages, mentions of you, and every channel or only the ones you select. Filtering happens before anything is kept or analyzed.
- Replies in a thread Kernel already kept come along
- Private channels work when you can see them
- Rules can send a channel or a person to a client and project
Files
A screenshot counts as much as the words.
When a message shares a file, Kernel reads it with the message: a pasted invitation, a photo, a PDF. Accepting the suggestion can carry the file onto the task or event.
- Files you untick stay behind when you accept
- A message that is only a screenshot is read too
- Kernel never downloads a file from a message it excluded
Good to know
- The first import covers 48 hours of DMs and selected channels; new messages arrive live after that.
- Kernel never edits, reacts, uploads, or invites in Slack, and never posts on its own.
- The only message Kernel posts is an availability reply, after you press Send.
- Pause AI keeps collecting messages and analyzes them when you resume.
- Deleting a message in Slack removes Kernel's retained copy of it.
