Inbox

Nothing becomes a task without you.

Kernel reads the places requests already land and drafts suggestions with the evidence behind them. You accept, edit, or clear each one, and every choice can be undone.

Highlights

  • Evidence on every card

Each suggestion shows where it came from, a confidence score, and the quoted lines behind it under “Why Kernel suggested this”.

  • Your call, every time

Accept into Backlog, Ready, or Blocked, edit it first, or clear it. Analysis never creates a task, an event, or an invitation by itself.

  • Undo for everything

Discard, Reject, and Already done can each be undone for ten seconds, so clearing the Inbox quickly is safe.

Review

Edit the draft before it becomes work.

Open a suggestion to change its title, client, project, priority, Duration, or date. Edits save on their own as you type, and Accept waits for the last one to land.

  • Accept into Backlog, Ready, or Blocked, with an optional blocked reason
  • Make it an event, or make it a task, without losing your edits
  • Already done closes a request you've handled, without creating work

Inbox activity

See everything Kernel read, and what it did.

The activity view lists one entry per delivery, newest first: when it arrived, how far analysis got, and what it became. Messages Kernel skipped say why.

  • Received, Reading, Analyzing, then the result
  • Undo an automatic change while it still stands
  • Entries name the sender and conversation, never the message

Good to know

  • Analysis never sends anything, changes your email, or creates work on its own.
  • Discard means a good suggestion you don't want now; Reject means it was wrong.
  • A high-confidence follow-up can comment on a matching task instead of adding a new one.
  • Files shared in a message come with the suggestion, and you choose which to keep.
  • Inbox activity keeps entries for 90 days and never stores message content.
  • Suggestions from Asana, GitHub and Linear wait in the same queue as email and Slack.
