Time reporting

Know where the week went.

Summary totals your recorded time by client, project, task, and billability. Click any card, bar, or row, and Entries opens with the work behind that number, ready to sort and open.

Highlights

  • Every total opens its entries

Click a summary card, a chart segment, a donut slice, or a breakdown row, and Entries opens with the same filters, including work with no project.

  • Only recorded time counts

Reports read saved time entries alone. Planned blocks, calendar events, running timers, and open draft rows stay out until they become entries.

  • Your view, remembered

Time keeps its tab, period, filters, chart choices, grouping, and sort in this browser. Reset to defaults brings back this week's Summary.

Summary

Restack the same week in one click.

Stack the Duration by day chart by organization, project, task, or billability. The distribution and the two-level breakdown pick their own dimensions, so one page answers several questions.

  • Stack by, Slice by, Breakdown by, and Then by
  • The donut shows the eight largest slices, then Other
  • Bars count days up to two months, then weeks or months

Home timezone

Work is dated at home, wherever you are.

Each entry belongs to the day it started in your home timezone. Entries name that zone when your device is elsewhere, and the API's CSV export uses the same work dates.

  • “Toronto time” appears beside entries while you travel
  • GET /api/v1/time-entries/export returns the entries as CSV
  • A new home timezone re-dates work in every report at once

Good to know

  • Periods default to the current Monday–Sunday week, with presets from Today to Last year, and All time.
  • Time reports show hours only; prices, payers, and invoices stay in Billing.
  • Billed or written-off entries open read-only, and corrections begin in Billing.
  • Entries load 50 at a time, and on phones each entry becomes a card.
  • The CSV export works with any API key, Read only or Full work.
