Search
Every record, one shortcut away.
Press ⌘K, or Ctrl+K, in any main view, even while you type in a field. One search covers tasks, clients, projects, docs, files, meetings, invoices, and time notes, and opens each result where it lives.
Highlights
Color shows whose work
Tasks, docs, files, and time entries carry their project's or client's color, the same one you see on the board and in the planner.
It reads what's inside
Task descriptions, doc pages, your meeting notes, and time notes are searched too, with a preview of the text around the match.
Keyboard from start to finish
Arrows move, Enter opens, ⌘ Enter opens a new tab, and Esc returns you to where you were. Tab reaches the type chips.
Matching
Find the words inside your work.
Search matches names and the text inside records. Case and accents fold, so quebec finds Québec, and a match in a body shows the passage around it.
- Task descriptions, doc pages, and time entry notes
- Meeting descriptions, locations, and your own notes
- A recurring meeting appears once, at its next occurrence
Result types
Pick a type when you know what you want.
All shows up to five results per type, with a Show all row for the rest. A chip narrows the list to one type, from Pages and Tasks to Invoices, Habits, and Time.
- A single type lists up to 30 results
- Pages jump straight to any view or Settings section
- Finished and archived work stays findable, ranked lower
Good to know
- ⌘K works in Planner, Tasks, Meetings, Time, Billing, Portfolio, and Settings.
- On a phone, Search is the first row of the More menu and opens as a full-screen sheet.
- Matching is exact text, not fuzzy, so a misspelled word will not find the one you meant.
- Gmail, Slack, and Fireflies content behind your Inbox is never searched.
- Meeting notes match only for the person who wrote them.
- Time entries are found by their notes; an entry without a note does not appear.
